Travis turned 18 this week! He is officially an adult. But Travis will always be my baby. No matter how tall (6'2" and still climbing) or how old, Travis will always have a special place in my heart. I will never forget holding him the first time, looking into his eyes, and knowing my life would never be the same. Never again would I think of myself first, or make a life decision without struggling with how it would affect him, or wonder what it felt to love deeply and truly. Thank you for that gift, my son. And thank you for our first dance together, in the kitchen, November, 1992. It is a dance and a song I will never forget, I cross my heart.
