The past few months have been some of the most challenging and painful of my career. The Master of Arts in Executive Leadership (MAEL) program, which I have spent the last five years creating and developing, is closing. And the Center for Ethical Leadership, which has been my proudest professional accomplishment, will close May 31 unless some miracle occurs.
My days and nights recently have been spent grieving this loss. These two professional accomplishments are my "work babies" and I truly have been in mourning over the closing of each.
But as I am drying my tears and coming out of this fog, I realize just how fortunate I am. I have two wonderful, brilliant, beautiful kids and a loving, sexy, sweet soon-to-be husband. It is time to truly focus my energies on them.
