THANKSGIVING, 2008
We had such an amazing Thanksgiving. I cooked for 12 people (yes! ME!!!) AFTER I entered a 4 mile "Turkey Trot" that morning. I was slow, but I ran every step and finished the race.
Michael and I hosted my parents, my kids, Annie and Ron (Michael's sister and brother-in-law) and Ross' family (Michael's brother). It was so much fun to "play house", cook and entertain.
Eva really showed how much she is growing up. Not only did she look BEAUTIFUL (so many of our guests commented on that), but she helped cook, set the table, and organize the buffet. What a wonderful little hostess.
Travis fought for the right to sit at the "grown up" table, but had to settle for joining the grown ups while Michael, Anita (Ross' wife) and I cleaned up. He is growing up so fast.
Unfortunately, we did not take any pictures of the big day. We were so busy we completely forgot to get out the camera. Ross did take pictures, so hopefully I can add some later.
On Friday, Travis and Eva left with their Dad to go to the Razorback game (GO HOGS!!!). Michael had to work on Friday, but Saturday (after I ran another race, this one a 5K), we drove up to visit with a couple who are the respresentatives of Tennessee Log Homes. We then drove over to Pickwick to look at a house built with log siding. Both homes were beautiful and we are trying to decide which direction to go in to build a cabin on Indian Lake.
What a glorious weekend and holiday we had!
